Experience you can benefit from...
EDGAR is the acronym for Electronic Data Gathering Analysis and Retrieval. The SEC began developing the EDGAR system in 1983 as a way for public companies to file their compliance documents electronically. By 1996 the SEC required all domestic reporting companies to file via the EDGAR system.
Our EDGAR department was established in the early 1990's while the SEC’s EDGAR system was still a pilot project. Since then, our staff has grown in numbers and knowledge as the EDGAR system continues its expansion of accepted filing methods. One of the
developing filing methods that we are following very closely is the SEC’s XBRL voluntary
filing program. AFPI stands ready to provide services related to XBRL and EDGAR
filings in addition to our already established EDGAR ASCII and HTML services.
